A man accused of killing one woman and wounding two others during a rampage in 2015 was found guilty on all counts by a Caddo Parish jury Friday, April 21, 2017.

Sherman Fredieu Jr., 30, of Bossier City, faces a mandatory life sentence upon his return to District Judge Ramona Emanuel’s courtroom, for his actions Oct. 27, 2015, that cost Verdina D. Crichlow her life.

Crichlow, 36, was shot 15 times, in her arms, chest, breast, buttocks, stomach and pubic area, in a shooting in Cedar Grove. The fusillade of shots also critically wounded another adult female and a teen.

The 12-member jury deliberated under 50 minutes before returning with its unanimous verdicts of guilty of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder.

Prosecutors were assistant district attorneys Edwin Blewer and Aaron Crawford. Fredieu was defended by Kurt Goins.
