The Caddo Bossier Soccer Association (CABOSA), Caddo Parish District Attorney James E. Stewart Sr. and the Caddo Parish Schools Athletic Department have partnered to sponsor a free soccer clinic Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Cargill Park.

Children ages 5 to 10 will learn all about soccer rules and skills with the CABOSA staff from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with children ages 11 to 14 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

The free clinic is open to boys and girls. The only requirement is that participants must wear cleats.

“I encourage parents to find positive outlets for their children,” D.A. Stewart said. “Soccer is the world’s most popular sport. It is inexpensive and generally injury-free. Schools such as Caddo Magnet High, Byrd, Captain Shreve, Calvary, Evangel and Loyola have developed great soccer programs. Children need to be healthy and active and engaged in positive activities.  With this partnership, we hope to introduce and increase participation in this great team sport around the entire parish.”

Cargill Park is at 2800 Cargill Drive, west of Wisteria Street, which runs off Jewella Avenue south of 70th Street in west Shreveport.

Participants can register at www.cabosa.org<http://www.cabosa.org> or through the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s office Facebook Page, https://www.facebook.com/CaddoDA.
