The Caddo Parish Grand Jury of Caddo Parish returned seven true bills Wednesday, March 20, 2019.
Three indictments were filed under seal. These are against Willie Peterson, 39, of Shreveport, with regard to charges of first-degree rape and sexual battery; Roderick Dewayne Broadway, 36, of Shreveport, with regard to first-degree rape and forcible rape; and Darin Gene Chandler, 47, of Rodessa, with regard to aggravated rape, two counts of sexual battery and two counts of indecent behavior with juveniles.
Three defendants are charged in one indictment, issued in connection with the January 9, 2019, shooting death of Shreveport Police officer Chateri Payne. Charged with second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit second-degree murder are Tre’Veon Demarcus Anderson, 26, of Shreveport; Glenn Montreal Frierson, 38, of Shreveport; and Lawrence Guydell Pierre II, 21, of Shreveport.
Three other people were true-billed in connection with other recent slayings.
Ramon Laderrick Adger, 30, of Shreveport, is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the December 4, 2018, slaying of Mary Houston. Houston, 38, of Shreveport, was shot during an altercation at a residence in the 8700 block of South Emerald Loop, in the Greenbrook Park section of the south side of the Cedar Grove neighborhood.
Sarah Renee Ritter, 20, of Shreveport, is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the slaying of Tawfik Gawbahy. Gawbahy, whose name also has been spelled in some settings as Gawbah, was killed some time November 30-December 1, 2018. After he was stabbed, his body was set on fire and left in a vacant field near the intersection of Murphy Street and Alabama Avenue.
Kentravion Demarcus Young, 16, of Shreveport, is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the November 28, 2018, slaying of Robert Lee Perry. Perry, 27, of the 700 block of Lincoln Drive, Shreveport, was shot several times after an altercation at an apartment complex in the 4500 block of North Market Street.
