Area youth interested in learning more about playing football can still get a spot in the fourth annual free Caddo DA Youth Football Camp, set for Saturday, May 18, 2019.

Online pre-registration has ended, but registration will be done on-site at Independence Stadium prior to the 8:30 a.m. start of the event. Camp information is still available online at https://www.caddodayouthcamp.com.

Athletes of any skill level, ages 6 to 17, can learn the best techniques from top local coaches and accomplished NFL players. The camp will feature far more than just football drills. The young athletes also will receive speed and strength training and mentorship. Athletes also will receive a free camp T-shirt and lunch.

Participants confirmed to take part include former Evangel, LSU and Cleveland Browns quarterback Josh Booty; former Texarkana, Texas High, Arkansas and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Ryan Mallett; former Evangel, University of Arkansas and San Francisco ’49ers cornerback Ramon Broadway; former West Monroe, Oklahoma State and current New York Giants cornerback Michael Hunter; and former Calvary, University of Houston and current Cincinnati Bengals safety Brandon Wilson.

Check-in time is 8:30 a.m., at the media/vendor entrance of Independence Stadium. Volunteers will be on hand to direct participants and their parents or adult guardians. The time for pickups will be 11:30 a.m., and adults picking up children must have the cards  they received at check-in.
