A Texas woman who torched a mobile home following a domestic breakup in 2017 was convicted of simple arson Wednesday, July 24, 2019, in Caddo District Court.
The seven-woman, five-man jury in District Judge Ramona Emanuel’s courtroom determined, after 20 minutes deliberation, that Bridget Nicole Ebarb, 37, of Henderson, Texas, intentionally set fire to the mobile home in the 6800 block of West 70th Street on August 27, 2017.
Since damages exceeded $500, the penalty Ebarb faces when sentenced could be up to 15 years in prison. She will return to court in mid-August to obtain a setting.
Ebarb, who was remanded to Caddo Correctional Center following her conviction, was prosecuted by Joshua Williams and Victoria Washington. She was defended by Kurt Goins.
