Jurors have been chosen for a murder trial of a man accused of a slaying in Queensborough just over a year ago.

Jury selection began Monday, March 6, 2023 in District Judge Chris Victory’s court for the trial of Shamichael Antonio Pearson, 19, of Shreveport. The jury, finalized Tuesday, March 7, consists of nine men and three women.

Pearson was indicted on a charge of second-degree murder in connection with the March 3, 2022 slaying of Devin Dewayne Myers. Mr. Myers was shot several times on Lillian Street.

Assistant District Attorneys Sam Crichton And Christopher Bowman are prosecuting for the state. Pearson is defended by Michael Enright And Dave Knadler.
