The Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Juvenile Division’s mission is to protect the public and to protect children. It welcomes all calls from the public concerning its mission and will advise accordingly. However, the Office cannot give out legal advice on personal matters.
The Juvenile Division is responsible for prosecuting Crimes committed by those 17 years of age and younger. It also pursues cases involving those 17 years of age and younger who are ungovernable or who are truant . Additionally, it pursues cases of Child Abuse and Neglect. The Juvenile Division has a staff of lawyers, consisting of Audie Jones (Section Chief); Jerry Deason (Prosecutor); Janet Silvie (Prosecutor); Ashlin Thomas (Prosecutor); and Helen Marrs (Prosecutor). They are assisted by legal assistants Lashunga Cox, Alicia DeMoss, Megan Jones, and Aleigha McWilliams; victim advocates Jacqueline Jones and Investigator Mark Masters.
All Juvenile Division cases are held at the Caddo Parish Juvenile Court, located at s 1835 Spring St., Shreveport, LA 71101. The Court can be reached at (318) 226-6772. The Juvenile Court maintains a separate Clerk’s Office and they can be reached at (318) 226-6751.
Please report all crimes committed by children to your Local Law Enforcement.

Notice: Once a case has started against a Parent or a Child, the District Attorney’s Office is prohibited from speaking with the Parent or Child. The Parent or Child should contact their lawyer of choice or the Public Defender’s Office { (318) 212-1801} or the Clerk’s Office {(318) 226-6751}. So please remember, if the District Attorney’s Office is contacted, you will be referred to one of the above.
